Brewery is a plugin for the creation of potions and drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
There are three main actions: fermenting, distilling, and ageing. Each action is done with different blocks and even custom barrels made of different wood types. Some drinks only require fermenting, while others may require either distilling or ageing, or both.
Fermentation is the first phase of every brew. It needs a cauldron, filled with water, on top of heat source block (magma block, lava, campfire).
Right-click the cauldron with the ingredient in your hand to add it to the fermenting process. This adds 1 item at each right-click. There's no way to check which and how many ingredients have been added: it's possible to write them down somewhere else.
Right-clicking the cauldron with a clock allows players to check how many minutes the brew has been fermenting. There is no indication on whether the brew is ready or not: players must figure out the correct ingredients and timing through trial and error.
At any stage of fermentation, players can right-click the cauldron with an empty bottle to extract the brew. Up to 3 bottles can be obtained from a cauldron.
Some brews will be ready as soon as they're extracted at this stage. Others will need further processing.
Distilling is done in a brewing stand with glowstone dust as ingredient. Brews can be distilled up to 6 times, and each time requires more time to be completed. The glowstone dust is not consumed in this process, making it possible to distill multiple brews with just one.
Not all brews require distilling.
If the wrong brew is distilled, it will turn into a murky distillate. Drinking it will inflict negative effects on the player.
Brews in barrels. Every Minecraft day (20 minutes) counts as 1 year of ageing.
From 1 to 5 stars. Below 1-star, the brew is ruined.
Higher quality drinks have:
Upon drinking alcoholic drinks, players become drunk. This can trigger many negative events for the player's health, which become more severe the more drunk they become.
Drunk players:
There are many ways to decrease the drunk-meter and become sober again.
